An Entry for the Ficaddictive Challenge: The Beginning

"I know we're just friends but I need us to be more than that..."

“That’s what I told my best friend Christine yesterday,”

My name’s Chidori Alonzo, and I’ve been confused for a while. I like him, I mean him, my childhood friend, Danny Sanchez, but, I can’t seem to pinpoint, if I like him THAT way, or as just friends.

“I don’t understand him at all!”

He flirts with a lot of girls, he’s the ‘playboy’ type, but when it comes to me, it’s a whole new world; he teases me, makes fun of me, and makes me mad at least almost everyday.

I’m right here inside my bedroom, lying on my bed, staring on the ceiling, and finally on the curtains of the window, that has a balcony behind it. The room lies after that balcony, is Danny’s.

Our houses, and rooms are THAT close. Anytime, he could barge in while I’m changing, well, it would be partially my fault, for not locking the window at all.

He’s a big pervert too, that’s why wherever you look at his specialty is flirting, and pervertism. But, for some unknown cause, he really likes photography.

“Chidori~” Danny called onto the veranda. “What?” Chidori asked.

“I want to tell you something.” Danny said.

“What? It’s 10pm can’t it wait tomorrow?” Chidori answered.

“It can’t, if I let it wait ‘till tomorrow, I won’t be able to sleep tonight.” Danny said.

Chidori stood up, opened the veranda window, and saw Danny standing there.

“Wh-what is it?” Chidori asked. “You know… uh… It’s the money I borrowed from before; can I pay it next week?” Danny answered.

“DO WHAT YOU WANT,” Chidori angrily closed the window and slammed herself on her bed.

“And here I was, hoping it was the words I was waiting for,” She muttered to herself.

Suddenly her phone rang, it was Christine.

“Yes?” she answered.

“Oh, what happened? You sound angry,” the person at the end of the line asked. “It is rare for someone to realize the start of love. More than friends but not yet lovers.”

“That’s the point! He’s too INSENSITIVE for his own kind,” Chidori exclaimed. She’s really pissed.

“Well, all men start out insensitive. And they become sensitive, only and only if, someone has deleted the letters I and N from that word itself,” Christine adviced.

“And what you mean is?”

“Show him your feelings, be a little more modest! Guys don’t confess until they’re certain for a little that the other person has feelings for them. Right?”

“Well you might be right there, but wait, aren’t ladies born to wait?”

“Well yeah, that’s true, but with a guy like him in your mind, that saying should go history, before he even realizes that he has feelings for you, it’s either you’re gone from this world, or already has a man in your life,”

“Well, I get this feeling that you’re helping me and not helping me at the same time, Christine,”

“Well, it’s not that really, look you should really follow me since I had liked a couple of boyfriends all with different personalities from different schools and places.”

“You’re wild my friend, and then, telling me that fact for the 100th time now means?”

“As I said—“

“Be modest, show your feelings, right? I can’t possibly do that,”

“I know you can, and the results will be shown tomorrow, If you don’t have to treat me lunch for 3 months,”

“…”

“And here, I am a jerk, made her mad at me again,” Danny told himself, inside his bedroom, staring at Chidori’s veranda. “Why am I always like this? The words I want to say, always become rubbish,”

The Next Day…

“Chidori!” Danny called.

“Wh-what?” Chidori answered, a faint blush from her face was seen, is she finally going to show her feelings?

“I… have something to tell you, I’m serious! It’s important,” Danny said.

Christine stared at Danny as how his voice is sounding louder. Everybody in the school gates are staring melon buns at them.

“I… I…”

“You…? C’mon Danny, it’s not like you to be stuttering like this, what is it?”

“I… li… li… live beside your house! Hahahahaha!!”

“I thought it was something interesting,” some audience said.

“Yeah, yeah, and it turned out, as a normal conversation, oh man,” another one said.

And the crowd went noisy when suddenly Danny pulled Chidori, and whispered something on her ear, then walks away.

“Chi… Chi… still alive?” Christine said and nudged her.

“Wh-what?” Chidori asked dumbfounded, while critically blushing at her spot.

Lunch Time…

“Do I Really have to do this, like this?” Chidori thought. “I… should answer him shouldn’t I?”

“What are you doing here Chi?” Danny asked, they were in the library.

“I… want to reply to your question,” Chidori said.

“What? I told you, if you’re not sure, you don’t have to answer me right away.”

“My answer is Yes,”

“Really this lady only hears the words she wants to hear, wait, did she say Yes?” Danny thought.

“What?” he asked.

“I SAID YES.” Chidori said making sure to exaggerate every word.

Then, they kissed.

A/N: =P It’s kind of quick, I didn’t even had time for more character developments, because I was truly, out of idea for this challenge. I just did my best. Go me!
